My Mail Carrier heart is hurting for my brother and sister carriers in Central West Virginia this morning, for the people they serve and their communities. MAILBOX ANGELS and PO 28607 is praying for all of the towns and communities as they begin coming to terms with the devastation from the flood waters.
I'm going to start a gofundme for mailboxes for West Virginia. I will personally transport mailboxes to this area as soon as I can raise funds for 100 new mailboxes. I will also accept donations of gently used mailboxes. Used mailboxes will need to be dropped off at the Boone, NC post office by Saturday, July 25.
A link to the gofundme account will be posted on this page shortly.
Please share. If you have received a mailbox from Mailbox Angels during the Hurricane Helene flooding or Grundy, Virginia flooding, please consider paying it forward to the folks of West Virginia.
Remember that families are unable to receive mail, FEMA paperwork, insurance claims work or relief checks, medications or pet medications until they have a mailbox standing again.
