🚨 DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER 🚔

The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign officially kicks off today and runs through September 7. During this time, you’ll see increased law enforcement presence as agencies across Florida work to keep our roads safe and prevent impaired-driving crashes.

If you’ve been drinking, DON’T DRIVE. 🍻🚫🚗

Have a plan before you go out:

✅ Designate a sober driver
✅ Use a rideshare or taxi
✅ Call a friend or family member
✅ If you see an impaired driver, call Law Enforcement

A few minutes of planning could save a life including your own.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.

🎒🚨 ATTENTION, GULF BREEZE: THE KIDS ARE GOING BACK. WE REPEAT… THE KIDS ARE GOING BACK. 😂

Parents, your summer sentence has officially come to an end. No more hearing “I’m bored,” no more mystery snacks disappearing from the pantry, and no more kids asking what’s for lunch 14 times before noon. 😅

But before everyone heads back to school, Gulf Breeze PD has a few reminders:

1. 🚗 SLOW DOWN in school zones.
2. 👀 Watch for kids walking, biking, and riding scooters.
3. 🚌 Give school buses plenty of space.
4.📵Put the phone down and pay attention.
5.💰School zone fines are DOUBLED. Your wallet does not need a back-to-school shopping trip of its own.

And remember… just because you’re running late for work doesn’t mean you need to qualify for the NASCAR School Zone Championship (This is not a real thing don’t try it) 🏎️

We’ll be out there making sure everyone gets to school safely even if it takes a few extra minutes.

Parents, enjoy that first morning of peace and quiet. You’ve earned it. ☕️

📚 Have a safe and AWESOME school year, Gulf Breeze! 🐬💙

~Sincerely your Gulf Breeze Police Department 🚔

🚨🐬 Meet the 2026-2027 Gulf Breeze School Resource Officers! 💙💛

As we prepare for another great school year, we’re excited to introduce the dedicated officers who will be serving our Gulf Breeze schools and helping keep our students, staff, and campuses safe.

🏫 Gulf Breeze Elementary School
👮‍♂️ You know Tai, that's the most asked question in Gulf Breeze and yes Officer Tai is back and will be serving as the SRO for our youngest Dolphins! From building relationships with students and staff to being a trusted presence on campus, Officer Tai is ready to help make this school year a safe and successful one.

🏫 Gulf Breeze Middle School
👮‍♂️ Officer Hart will continue serving our middle school Dolphins, working to create a positive environment where students feel supported, safe, and connected with law enforcement.

🏫 Gulf Breeze High School
👮‍♂️ Officer Gander will be returning as the SRO for our high school campus, and this year he has a new partner joining the team 🐾 K9 Roux!

This will be K9 Roux’s first year serving with GBPD, and we’re excited to watch this partnership grow as they work together to support our students, staff, and school community.

Our SROs do much more than provide security they build relationships, mentor students, and serve as a familiar and trusted face throughout our schools.

Join us in welcoming Officer Tai, Officer Hart, Officer Gander, and K9 Roux to another great school year!

Welcome back, Dolphins! 🐬💙

📚🎒 Back to School is Almost Here! 🎒📚

Next week, our students head back to the classroom, which means school zones will be back in effect.

🚸 Slow down, stay alert, and watch for children crossing streets, as well as kids riding their bikes and scooters to and from school.

⚠️ School zone speed limits will be strictly enforced. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in active school zones.

A few extra seconds could make all the difference. Help us keep our students, parents, and school staff safe as we kick off another great school year.

Drive safely. Slow down. Put the phone down.

Together, let's make this a safe start to the school year! 🚔💙
