The city will stop supplying water to the irrigation system for this season on October 30th. Any water left in the system is available to be used afterwards until it is gone. Please do not shut off irrigation valves on your property until November 15th to allow any remaining water to drain.

Calling all radio-controlled aircraft pilots! Did you know the Gunnison City RC Field is a dedicated, public-access facility that is free to enter and fly your RC airplanes? If you are looking to fly or connect with the local RC community, here is some information about the airfield:

• 24-Hour Access: The property doesn't have a lock, so pilots can utilize the field any time that suits their flying schedule.

• Completely Free: There are no membership dues or usage fees required to fly at the facility.

• Community-Maintained: While use is free, pilots and visitors are encouraged to donate funds or volunteer their labor to help maintain the runways and facilities.

• Primary Club: The Sanpete R/C Aero Squadron primarily uses the facility and manages the upkeep and maintenance of the site.

The RC field is located at 300 North and Cemetery Road in Gunnison. Come fly with us!

Many residents have been asking if water restrictions are still in place after all the rain and cooler weather. The answer is YES. Please only water lawns and gardens on days when your neighborhood has been assigned, and only between 6 at night and 10 in the morning.

The new pedestrian signal at 100 South and Main Street does NOT stop traffic. It is intended to help drivers know when someone wants to cross the road. Pushing the crossing button does not mean pedestrians can start walking into the road. Please wait to cross the road until the vehicles have stopped to let you cross.
