**Effective at 9 a.m. Tuesday, August 25:**

🟢 **GET READY (Green)**
Zones **003A and 005** have been reduced from GET SET to GET READY.

🔥 GUNNISON COUNTY FIRE RESTRICTIONS REDUCING TO STAGE 1 FRIDAY, AUGUST 21ST🔥

Effective Friday, August 21 at 12:01 a.m., Gunnison County will move from Stage 2 Fire Restrictions to Stage 1 Fire Restrictions.

This change is being made in coordination with several of our surrounding counties and federal land management partners, including the BLM Gunnison Field Office, the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests, and Curecanti National Recreation Area.

⚠️ Please remember that fire restrictions are not the same everywhere.

Hinsdale County, White River National Forest, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park remain under Stage 2 Fire Restrictions.

If you are traveling, recreating, camping, or working outside, please check the current fire restrictions for the specific area you are in. Restrictions can vary by county and land management agency.

While conditions have improved enough to reduce restrictions in Gunnison County, fire danger still exists. Please continue to use caution with anything that could cause a spark or start a wildfire.

Thank you for continuing to do your part to prevent human-caused wildfires. 🔥🌲
