Gunnison-Dolores Watershed Meeting, August 26, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.
The Gunnison Conservation District will host the Gunnison-Dolores Watershed Meeting on August 26. Meeting highlights include: a field tour, lunch, presentations by guest speakers, District reports from Gunnison, Delta, and Shavano Conservation Districts, and an NRCS report. The 2026 Gunnison Delores Watershed Meeting will be held at the Powderhorn Community Center, located at 9420 County Road 27, Powderhorn, CO 81243. The meeting starts at 9:00am. Please register by August 24 to attend the Meeting and Tour.

We're hiring! The Gunnison Conservation District is looking for a full-time District Conservation Technician to join our small but mighty team.
If you know and love the Gunnison Basin, its wet meadows, streams, sagebrush, and the working lands and wildlife that depend on them, this could be your next role. You'll work hands-on with local landowners, ranchers, and producers, and alongside partners like NRCS, the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, UGRWCD, and many more to deliver conservation on the ground.
