Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue Elects Nathan Lorick as Interim Fire Chief
The members of Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue have elected Nathan Lorick as the department's Interim Fire Chief.
Chief Lorick brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience, a record of building and steadying mission-driven organizations, and a gift for rallying people around a cause. He now applies that experience to Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue, a volunteer 501(c)(3) that serves our community and fire district.
"I am humbled and excited to take on this new role with Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Your fire department truly loves the community we serve, and we are committed to providing the very best care and service possible. We have an incredible team of dedicated men and women, and I'm proud to serve alongside them. To keep that service strong, we're asking our community to come alongside us. Thank you for your continued support. We are proud to serve you!"
Chief Lorick's priorities are stability and sustainability: keeping the department fully staffed, equipped, and ready to respond, 24 hours a day, every day.
Because Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue is a volunteer nonprofit, the department depends on community support. Chief Lorick is launching an immediate fundraising effort to secure the equipment, training, and operating funds needed to protect the fire district.
