🔥 THIS WEEK IS FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 🔥

It is a great reminder to use this week to take a little time and make sure your home and family are prepared in the event of a fire!

Check your smoke alarms, talk with your family about your fire escape plan, make sure everyone knows where to meet outside, and remember to get out and stay out if a fire occurs.

Fire emergencies can happen quickly. Taking the time now to prepare could make a big difference when every second counts.

Thank you to the firefighters who provide exceptional service to our communities. Their dedication, courage, and willingness to answer the call wherever they are needed are greatly appreciated!

HIGH FIVE FRIDAY! 🖐️👋

This morning we visited Guthrie Center Elementary to be this week’s special guests for High Five Friday. We high-fived & greeted kids as they arrived.

In attendance, we had a variety of staff from all our departments: Sheriff Harmann, Chief Deputy Thorn, Deputy Michelsen, Deputy Losee, Deputy Gray, Dispatchers Amy, Chuck & David, Reserve Deputy/Jailer Dillon, and Admin. Assistant Kenzie.

We believe it is important to make sure kids know we show up and support them, not only in emergencies, but also in everyday life!

We were happy to join and hope our friendly faces helped make a great start to their day!

There has been a key turned into our office. It was found in the street across from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guthrie Center.

It has a very distant keychain. We will ask that you describe it to claim.

Please stop by or contact the Sheriff's Office at 641-747-2214, option 2 if this is your missing key!
