🪨 Digging into geology beyond the classroom!

Ms. Fortin recently took members of the IAVA Geology Club to Geode Fest in Keokuk—her 5th year bringing students to this unique hands-on experience!

Geode Fest celebrates the rich geode-collecting region around Keokuk and features guided geode hunts, geode cracking, identification, rocks, minerals, fossils and more. It’s a pretty fun way to turn geology into an adventure! 🔎🌎
