7/27/26 We will be in the Lakebreeze Rd. area locating water boxes this week. Call the office if you need any assistance 337-762-3935.

6/22/26 We will continue locating water boxes along School St. and all roads leading off of it for the next 2 weeks.

6/3/26 Water boxes have been installed on Maggie Hebert Rd. and they are starting on Johnny Benoit Rd. this morning.

The Hackberry Waterworks will be locating residential water taps this summer that are located within the Parish Right of Way and replacing missing or damaged water boxes. Boxes will be made visible above ground to enable the water operators to better serve the community. The operators need to have easy access to the enclosed valve when there is a major weather event, a major leak, or when the land owner needs assistance. More information about schedules and locations will be made available on our page which will also be shared on the Hackberry News and Info page throughout the summer. Please contact the office at 337-762-3935 if you have any questions.

During the freezing weather event of last week we experienced great difficulty keeping up with the water demand from freeze protection and a local house fire while we were also experiencing a problem with our main wellsite. The Hackberry Waterworks would like to THANK the Johnson Bayou Waterworks for assisting Hackberry to supply water to our residents so our town would not be out of water for those two days. We greatly appreciate our partnership with District 10 and look forward to being able to return the favor if ever there is a need. If you see the District 10 staff or board members around town, please let them know we appreciate their hard work.
