As part of Safety Week, the Hackensack Police Department participated in a Touch-a-Truck event at Hillers School! Students had the opportunity to get an up-close look at our vehicles and equipment while learning more about the tools our officers use to keep the community safe.

We also brought along our newest recruits to give them a firsthand understanding of what community policing is all about. Building relationships, engaging with our youth, and being active members of the community are just as important as the work we do on the streets.

Thank you to Hillers School for having us and helping make safety education fun and engaging for our students!

Building relationships. Educating our youth. Strengthening our community.

The Hackensack Police Department Emergency Service Unit (ESU), in conjunction with the Little Ferry ESU conducted training at the NYPD HDIT training facility. Hosted by the NYPD Detective Bureau.

The training focused on low-light operations, breaching techniques, and the integration of force-on-force scenarios to reinforce the tactics practiced throughout the day.

Joint training like this strengthens coordination, builds team cohesion, and ensures our officers remain prepared to respond to a variety of high-risk situations.

Our SROs do more than protect our schools. They build relationships, create connections, and make a difference in the lives of our students every day.

SLEO III Dana Carucci spent the day keeping our schools safe while also taking time to color leaves with the students. It’s these little moments that help build trust, strengthen relationships, and remind our students that our SROs are there for more than just safety.

The Candy Monsters at Fairmount School have definitely caught our attention!

Hackensack Police were happy to donate candy to help fill these fun creations and support the school’s upcoming Halloween festivities.

Parents, check with your local PTA to see if they have Candy Monsters set up for candy donations to support their school’s Trunk or Treat events!

Another successful Youth Night in Hackensack!

A big thank you to the Hackensack Fire Department for tonight’s presentation and for taking the time to engage with our youth. We also want to thank the Municipal Alliance for making these programs possible and Saint Peter’s University School of Nursing for their participation and support.

We are proud to continue providing opportunities for our youth to learn, connect with first responders, and build positive relationships with the people who serve our community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make tonight another great success!
