Looking for some fun plans this weekend?🎨🍂

Come visit Ritter Island for the Thousand Springs Festival of the Arts, presented by the Magic Valley Arts Council

There will be over 100 artists highlighting their brilliant work, two stages of live music, and wonderful food & beverages.🖼️🎶🥂

It wouldn’t be a visit to a state park if there weren’t recreation opportunities! You can sightsee the waterfalls, ride in canoes/SUPs with Idaho Guide Service, or ride aboard a horse or mule-drawn wagon with the Southern Idaho Draft Horse and Mule Association.

No pets are allowed on the island other than registered ADA service dogs.🦮🚫

Purchase tickers online through attached website! We hope to see you there!

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but some of our trails were…

On September 4th, more than 180 Clif Bar (Mondelēz International) volunteers joined Idaho Business for the Outdoors and Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation for one of the largest single-day stewardship projects at Thousand Springs State Park. They helped tackle major improvements at both the Kelton Trail and Malad Gorge Units.

Volunteers cleared sagebrush, leveled paths, and built new trail sections, contributing an incredible 1,080 hours of service. The first two pictures highlight the finished product compared to the previous trail conditions.

A huge thank you to the Clif Bar volunteers and surrounding community for making this event happen! Many hands make light work!🤝🥾❤️

We are doing a to the year 2000!🎥

This old educational video highlights many familiar places to todays’s visitors. Over the past two decades, these units became one state park and we have grown in many ways, but the efforts to enjoy & protect our springs stayed true.💙💧

What’s your favorite memory of our park?

We could give you 1,000 reasons why we love our park, and the sunsets are one of them.💛🌅

A perfect day at Thousand Springs State Park might look like playing in the cool, clear streams, exploring the landscape, and ending the day watching the sunset at Ritter Island.

The water flowing from the cliffs around Ritter Island has quite the journey. Much of the water feeding the springs of the Thousand Springs area travels underground through the Eastern Snake River Plain Aquifer. In some parts of the aquifer, groundwater can take decades or even centuries to travel to the Thousand Springs area before emerging as springs.

One park. 1,000 reasons to love it.💧💙
