Happening TODAY📣📣📣
Do you use Libby?
Starting on Tuesday, October 13, you’ll have to enter both your library card number and PIN to access ebooks, audiobooks, movies, and digital magazines from OverDrive with the Libby app, https://www.washcolibrary.org/read-listen-watch/digital-library, and Kanopy. This change is not optional — it’s a security requirement. We encourage patrons that do not know their PIN to set or reset their PIN now so you can log in smoothly after the update.
Here’s what you need to know:
📚You’ll be asked to verify your library card number and PIN
📚This may happen when you open Libby, check out an item, or place a hold
📚Have your library card number and PIN handy
📚Forgot your PIN? When you receive your library card, you selected a password. The password is typically 4 digits. If you have forgotten your Password, first try the last 4 digits of your phone number
To reset your password, use the "Forgot your Password?" link from the account page (My Account: top left side of webpage www.washcolibrary.org) and enter your library card number. An email will be sent to the email address on file for your account. If we have your correct email address on file, you will receive an email within 30 minutes containing your password.
If you do not have an email address or you do not receive an email with your password within 30 minutes, please call your local branch to reset your password and update your record.
If you do not know your library card number or the email associated with your account has changed, please contact your local branch to assist you.
Thank you! This update is part of Libby’s efforts to enhance account security. We understand that changes to familiar services can feel frustrating, and we appreciate your patience as we make this security update.
