On the November 3, 2026, election ballot, St. Charles Parish voters will consider a proposition regarding the renewal of the existing Parks and Recreation millage.
The proposition would renew the current 2.68-mill property tax. For comparison, a home valued at $253,000 with a $75,000 homestead exemption would have an estimated annual property tax of $47.40 under this millage. The actual amount of property tax paid by an individual property owner depends on the property's assessed value and applicable exemptions.
Early voting will take place October 20–24 and October 26–27, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at designated locations in Hahnville and New Sarpy. Residents can review their sample ballot and find additional election information at GeauxVote.com or through the Geaux Vote mobile app.
