Lake Eva Shoreline Project

Starting Monday, June 1, 2026, a portion of the Lake Eva Park walking trail will be temporarily closed due to construction associated with the Lake Eva Shoreline Project. The project will stabilize the Lake Eva shoreline through the installation of a retaining wall and enhanced stormwater drainage, reducing shoreline flooding, limiting erosion, and protecting the beach from ongoing degradation caused by runoff.

Visitors should expect detours during this time. Please refer to the attached map for the designated detour routes. The area highlighted in orange will be closed, while everything highlighted with a green dotted line will remain accessible. The closure is expected to last approximately 30 days. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance the park experience for our community.

Life Jackets Save Lives!

Our Layers of Protection series continues this International Water Safety Month.

This week’s focus: Life Jackets

Whether you’re boating, fishing, or near open water, always wear a properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket.

✔️ Make sure it fits snugly
✔️ Check for proper weight/size
✔️ Wear it—not just carry it

Life jackets are one of the simplest ways to prevent tragedy.

Follow along for our final water safety tip next Friday!
