The forecast is looking fantastic (knock on wood!) for our Open House & Truck-or-Treat!

Come on by to explore the station, climb aboard our fire trucks, and enjoy some food with us!

The Hallowell Fire Fighters Association will be firing up the grill and serving burgers and hot dogs. We can’t wait to see everyone!

A quick parking reminder: Parking near the Fire Station is limited, so we kindly ask everyone attending to be courteous and mindful when parking around Stevens Commons.

We’re looking forward to a great event filled with fun, food, and community! We hope to see you all there!

The Hallowell Fire Department would like to announce our new Fire Chief, Theodore Marshall.

Chief Marshall began his firefighting career as a volunteer in 2011, while he was still active duty in the United States Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge in 2013, he transitioned to a full-time firefighter-paramedic in Havelock, North Carolina. It was there that he met his wife, who was a dispatcher at the time.

After moving back to his home state of Maine, he joined the Augusta Fire Department in 2015. In addition to his years of experience in the fire service, he has also deployed multiple times with the Maine Forest Service as a Wildland Firefighter to assist other states as well as Canada.

He and his wife have two children and a Great Pyranees named Woof Woof the Rockstar.

Chief Marshall is honored to lead the Hallowell Fire Department and looks forward to serving our town and its residents.

Recently the Hallowell Fire Department gathered to celebrate the retirement of Fire Chief, James Owens. 🚒

After over 50 years of dedicated service to the fire industry, Chief Owens has begun a well-deserved new chapter.

Chief Owens has given countless hours to protecting our communities, supporting his firefighters, answering the call when others needed help, and leading with dedication and commitment. His impact reached far beyond the firehouse — he has helped build stronger departments and safer communities for everyone.

From all of us at the Hallowell Fire Department - Thank you, Chief, for your service, leadership, sacrifice, and dedication. 🚒❤️‍🔥

We wish you a very happy and well-deserved retirement.

Good evening, today a little after 1pm the Hallowell Fire Department was called for a possible structure fire at 10 Warren Street in Hallowell. When firefighters arrived they reported heavy smoke and fire from the roof of the structure. We are happy to report that there were no injuries. We would like to thank the following departments Augusta Maine Fire-Rescue, Chelsea Maine Fire Department ,Manchester Fire Department ME ,Randolph Maine Fire Dept., Farmingdale Fire Dept. It was a team effort to stop the fire. The home owner was very grateful that we were able to save some of the belongings in the house.
