- Testing will be held at the Ashley County Fairgrounds (408 West Jackson St., Hamburg) on September 14th, from 3-5 pm.

Ashley County has a very active Extension Get Fit (EGF) program that meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30 am at the Crossett Public Library. Amber Hairston, Ashley County Family and Consumer Sciences County Agent, and Mr. John Peddy, a trained EGF volunteer, were interviewed for an article. Check out the article and call the office at (870) 853-2080 for more information.

Cathy Moseley, a member of the Extension Get Fit group in Mississippi County, said participating in the program has offered her “a new life.”

Mark your calendars & make plans to join us this summer for some youth preservation workshops!

We will have a youth Jam & Jelly workshop for ages 8-13 on June 25, 2026, at the Ashley County Extension Office from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM.

We will also have a youth Salsa workshop for ages 14-19 on June 26, 2026, at the Ashley County Extension Office from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.
