Lindy Taggart's 4-H roots run deep. The lifelong Delaware County resident’s connections trace back to the 1920s when her father visited Camp Shankitunk and met a forestry-minded county agent who left a lasting impression.

Decades later, Lindy has carried that legacy forward, serving on the camp's committee, planting a memorial grove of chestnut trees in her father's honor, and mentoring the next generation of 4-H families, including her own grandchildren.

Her decades of volunteer work, recently recognized with an outstanding lifetime volunteer award, reflect a lifelong belief in 4-H's power to bring together people from all walks of life.
