🔥 ENGINEER OF THE WEEK 🔥

This week we’re recognizing Engineer Colin! 🚒

I’ve been at Hamilton for almost 3 years.

My favorite part of the job is showing our community we are there to help them on their worst day and assist them in any way we can. One of my favorite trainings so far was our Ventilation and forcible entry day.

I joined Hamilton City to start my journey in the fire service, build my skills, and make connections that last a lifetime.

Fun fact: I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years.

We’re proud to have Engineer Colin as part of our team and appreciate the time and dedication they give to serving our community.

Thank you for your service! 🚒🔥

🔥 FIREFIGHTER OF THE WEEK 🔥

This week we’re recognizing Firefighter Christopher! 🚒

I have been with Hamilton City for 16 months.

My favorite part of the job is being able to serve others in the utmost capacity. It’s always a really good feeling to know you helped, even if it is in the slightest. There’s already so much negative in the world.

My favorite things to train on are the down and dirty parts of the job. I love conducting searches for victims, following hose lines blindfolded in attempt to reach the apparatus or nozzle, and hu***ng hose for whoever is at the nozzle.

I became a firefighter because I always find myself reaching my hands out to help others. I figure that I’ll never work a day in my life if I just do what I already love doing.

Fun fact: I love going to the movies.

We’re proud to have Firefighter Christopher as part of our team and appreciate the time and dedication they give to serving our community.

Thank you for your service! 🚒🔥

🔥 FIREFIGHTER OF THE WEEK 🔥

This week we’re recognizing Firefighter Will! 🚒

I have been with the Hamilton City Fire Department for 1.5 years.

My favorite part of the job is working as a team every day. I enjoy being around people who are very goal oriented and want to get better every day. My favorite training days are pulling hose and throwing ladders.

I joined to gain experience in the fire service. Hamilton has been a great opportunity for me to get my foot in the door and learn how a firehouse operates.

Fun fact: I am one of seven siblings.

We’re proud to have Firefighter Will as part of our team and appreciate the time and dedication they give to serving our community.

Thank you for your service! 🚒🔥

🔥 FIREFIGHTER OF THE WEEK 🔥

This week we’re recognizing Firefighter Kevin! 🚒

I started at Hamilton City Fire Department in June 2026.

My favorite part of the job is the camaraderie, having the opportunity to give back and serve the community, and watching the station grow and flourish.

My favorite training that I’ve done at the department so far is the controlled burn! It was actually my very first day on the job after my interview, and I was able to learn a little bit of everything from everyone I worked with.

Growing up in Lincoln, the local firefighters were always active in the community whenever I got hurt, I could stop by the station and they’d patch me up. Then, when I was in seventh grade, my family’s house caught fire. I helped get my sisters and our pets out safely, then ran back inside to grab my niece’s blanket. Afterwards, the firefighters told me that if I had gone back in just 10 minutes later, the roof would have collapsed on me and they gave me a challenge coin. That experience is one of the main things that has influenced me to pursue a career as a Firefighter. I’ve been intrigued by this work from a very young age, and I’m proud to finally fulfill that dream.

A fun fact about me is that I owned and operated a handyman business.

We’re proud to have Firefighter Kevin as part of our team and appreciate the time and dedication they give to serving our community.

Thank you for your service! 🚒🔥

🔥 FIREFIGHTER OF THE WEEK 🔥

This week we’re recognizing Firefighter Anson! 🚒

I have been with Hamilton for 9 months, my favorite part is that I get to train with people that I know and that it feels like family.

My Favorite thing to train is everything, because even if you think you have a skill down it’s always good to go over it again.

I joined because I wanted not only to help the community of Hamilton city but to also help the department grow.

A fun fact about me is that I love to cook not only for myself but especially for others, it has always been a passion of mine to make people happy through food.

We’re proud to have Firefighter Anson as part of our team and appreciate the time and dedication they give to serving our community.

Thank you for your service! 🚒🔥

Last night one of our firefighters did an amazing thing for the Hamilton High Volleyball Team and we wanted to give him a shout out today!! Firefighter Griffin Marks won the 50/50 raffle last night and instead of taking the money in which he could use being a student, he chose to donate the money back to the Volleyball team that was hosting the raffle!! Solid work!! We are proud of you!!
