A new neighborhood development is here!

My heart is full, Chicago truly owes me nothing!

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate my graduation from the Obama Foundation Leaders USA program with these amazing people from across the country.

Thank you to the wonderful planning committee who organized this trip for everyone. It was an awesome experience to finally meet up with my cohort and celebrate one another now that we are officially alumni.

The last 6 months have been filled with incredible speakers and panels that deepened my understanding and leadership journey. I’ve undergone a lot of transition in my personal and professional life that made me begin to question my own purpose. After meeting with this incredible group of leaders and hearing about the projects they are working on to fight for democracy and our nation, I have a renewed passion for continuing my service to the community.

We even got to see (outside) of the new Obama Presidential Center. A lucky few of us got a full tour. I am looking forward to returning for my visit this month before its Grand Opening in June!

I’m honored to be a part of such an illustrious cohort of leaders and can’t wait to see what they go on to accomplish in the future!!
