On Saturdays, we knock doors.

And also go to band competitions.

Canvassed in Monroe yesterday, saw this woolly worm on someone’s driveway (good sign?). Saw this cute Sleepy Hollow sign on someone’s porch (Fairfield’s show theme is “Heads Will Roll,” a Headless Horseman theme).

Stopped for a quick lunch at Garver Farm before going to Hamilton for Band-O-Rama.

Fairfield finished second in class AA, won best percussion and earned another State Finals qualifying score.

Congrats to Hamilton and Ross as well for earning State Finals qualifying scores.

Despite the cool temps, breeze and occasional sprinkle, another stop on the Tailgate Tour is complete as we visited Middletown’s Senior Night as they take on Mason.

I’ve had people ask me why I’m so against ICE and why I don’t support law enforcement, etc.

First, I do support local law enforcement and first responders in their efforts to keep Butler County safe.

I just don’t support other priorities that don’t make the citizens of Butler County safer.

I’ve known people who have tried to become U.S. Citizens. It’s often a costly, bureaucratic mess that needs to be addressed by Congress to make it simpler and more efficient.

The gentleman in this story was brought to the Butler County Jail from Indiana and has been here for a month with no hearing and no bond. He isn’t accused of any criminal activity, just not having legal status, which his wife claims he does through a work permit.

How is this making Butler County safer?

Flock cameras can be a useful tool, but stories like this show that we have to have proper security protocols in place and assurances about how the data is being used and store before more cameras are installed by Butler County.

Do you REALLY want to show off how much you support us?

Do you live on a moderate-to-high traffic road?

If so, we have a very limited number of these 4’x4 signs that are looking for a temporary home for the next month.

You can send a request to me directly at [email protected].

We also have plenty of stock on “typical size” yard signs as well.

Last night I had the pleasure of speaking at the candidate forum hosted by Miami University Hamilton and the League of Women Voters.

I’m appreciative of my opponent Michael Ryan taking the time to participate as well. We were able to showcase the differences in our campaigns and visions.

Mr. Ryan made clear that he is running on his experience as a Hamilton City Council member and his record of economic development. During his remarks, he didn’t mention the most important aspect of serving in county government.

The residents of Butler County.

Butler County deserves leadership that will be residents first, not corporations with massive financial resources and influence.

For the first time in 15 years, Butler County voters are preparing to choose a new member of the Board of Commissioners. Find the full story in the comments.

I’ll be there tonight. Will my opponent? 🤔
