Yesterday, September 21st, the Hamilton Police Department hosted an active shooter simulation training partnering with the Hamilton School District.

The training was put on by Sgt. McCloud with the Cameron Police Department and other members from the Tri-County Regional SWAT Team.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all staff, teachers, and administrators with the Hamilton School District that participated and went thru the live training with us. We appreciate each and every one of you and your efforts to partner with us in ensuring our communities children’s safety.

We would like to sincerely thank the following agencies that came and participated and trained with us:
Cameron Police Department
Clinton County Sheriff’s Office
Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office
Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office
Missouri State Highway Patrol
Cameron Fire Department
Hamilton Fire Department
Shoal Creek Fire District
Caldwell County Ambulance District

This training shows that the more we work together, the better we work together.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to our very own Mayor Cole Crawford, City Alderman Sean Connelly, City Administrator Lauren Dannar, City Clerk Leslie Bretz, and Police Chief Kirkendoll’s spouse Laurie Kirkendoll for participating and volunteering their time to assist with the training.

We would like to also thank and shout out the American Legion Hall in Hamilton for graciously letting us use their venue for the day for our refreshments center. It worked out perfectly for everyone and we really appreciate you all!

We would like to also shout out our photography and videography done by S.A.D Content Creations. They did a phenomenal job and worked so well with all of our team members! Thank you both for coming and documenting the day with us!

It was a very successful training experience, and we hope to build on it more in the next years to come!

Many more thanks will be on the way for our training exercise that took place today, but we want start with Hamilton Casey's.

We asked their corporate office if they would donate pizza for our law enforcement, first responders and Hamilton School District staff. They graciously donated 25 pizzas and the local store knocked it out of the park having such a large order ready for all attending.

Thank you, Hamilton Casey's!!!!
