Safe sleep information 📢

Exhausted? Beware of the couch. Never sleep with your baby on a couch, armchair, or other adult furniture. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, these surfaces increase an infant's risk of sleep-related death by 22 to 67 times because babies can become trapped, wedged, or accidentally covered by another person.

😴 If you feel yourself drifting off, move your baby safely to their crib on their back immediately, even if they wake up. Your quick choice saves lives.

Middletown families 📢

Middletown families, this one is for you! Next school year, all of our Middletown early childhood learning programs—including Preschool, Head Start, and Early Head Start—are moving to a wonderful new home at the previous Central Academy building.

We will be customizing this space specifically for early childhood learning. It is the perfect place for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to explore, grow, and track important developmental milestones.

BCESC was voted Butler County’s Best Community Supporter for 2025 and 2026 because we put our families first. Spaces are filling up, so do not wait to register your child for the upcoming school year!

Think you may be a father but aren’t sure what to do next?

The Ohio Putative Father Registry (OPFR) can help. It gives men who are not married to the child’s mother at the time of birth—and who have not established legal paternity—a way to be notified if a child is placed for adoption.
