Last night was a truly special and historic evening for the Hamilton Fire Department.
We proudly dedicated our newly constructed Model T Building and rededicated Hamilton’s 1916 Model T Fire Engine, the Department’s first motorized fire apparatus.
After 20 years without a permanent home, the Model T finally has a safe and fitting place where it can be preserved, maintained, and displayed for generations to come.
The restoration of the Model T and construction of its new home would not have been possible without the hard work, generosity, and dedication of so many individuals, businesses, organizations, and community members. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this vision a reality.
A special recognition goes to Randy Ayer, whose countless hours, craftsmanship, determination, and dedication brought our 1916 Model T back to life. His work has helped preserve an important piece of Hamilton Fire Department history.
Thank you to everyone who joined us last night to celebrate this milestone. This building and the beautifully restored Model T are more than reminders of our past—they are a tribute to the generations of Hamilton firefighters who came before us and a piece of our history that will now be preserved for generations yet to come.
Preserving our past. Honoring those who served. Protecting our history for the future.
