❤️🏈 Have a safe and happy homecoming ❤️

Homecoming is a time to celebrate, make memories, enjoy time with friends, and show your school spirit! But remember, the most important part of the night is making it home safely.

We are halfway to our goal of 150 pledges from Kentwood to Manchac, and everywhere in between! If you're a business, church, school, or civic group, help us Paint the Town Red for the 40th Anniversary of Red Ribbon Week!

🚨CALLING ALL BUSINESSES AND LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS🚨

Red Ribbon Week is around the corner, and we need your help to spread the word! 🤩 The TRACC Coalition is inviting you to join us in taking a stand for a healthier, safer, and drug-free community! Red Ribbon Week is an opportunity for parents and communities alike to promote a drug-free message. During this week, youth and adults around the nation pledge to learn more about the destructive effects of drug use and renew their commitment to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
This year, we are asking for your help to “Paint The Town Red”, from Kentwood to Manchac, and everywhere in between! Together, we can make a bold statement by showing our commitment to keeping our youth safe!
Here’s how your business/organization can get involved:

❤️ Take the Pledge: Click this link to take the pledge! https://forms.gle/ffEbSNcjF7LvfRN57
🎀 Paint the Town Red: By taking the pledge, you automatically sign up to receive a free Red Ribbon to display in your window or storefront.
❤️ Attend the Ribbon Cutting: On October 21, we invite those who take the pledge to meet us in Downtown Hammond for our Annual Red Ribbon Cutting to kick off the celebration!
When we stand united, our message is powerful. Let’s show our community and our youth that we care about a healthier, safer, and drug-free community!

As we wrap up another fun-filled festival season with the Tangipahoa Parish Fair, we’re raising a glass—a mocktail glass, that is!

The Tangipahoa Parish Fair is sharing the Cowboy KoolAid, a delicious, family-friendly, non-alcoholic mocktail that’s perfect for celebrating all the fun, food, traditions and memories that make our local festivals so special.

And making it even more festive, we have one of last year’s Fair royalty serving as our guest mixologist!

Here’s to great festivals, great traditions and great times in Tangipahoa Parish. Cheers!

Our KEYS Alliance - TRACC Coalition Youth Leaders over at Jewel M. Sumner High recognized 988 Day on Tuesday with these awesome shirts and 988 stickers! Today, at lunch, they passed out mints to students with the messaging "you were MINT to be here" in recognition of Su***de Prevention Day!
We are proud of our KEYS Alliance leaders, and can't wait to see what else they come up with throughout the school year! ***dePrevention 💜💙

Happy Labor Day, Tangi!

Even though our office is closed today, we still wanted to remind everyone that being impaired behind the wheel of any vehicle (car, boat, jet ski, off-roading vehicle, etc) is dangerous for you, and everyone around you. We want you to get home safely!

If you plan to drink/use something that will impair you, plan to have a sober driver. That decision might save your life, or the lives of others.

The 5th Annual Krewe of Erin Celtic Heritage Festival is Saturday, September 19 and we celebrate this great festival with a great mocktail, the Shamrock Mint Chocolate Shake. For a number of wonderful non-alcoholic beverages you can enjoy all year, visit www.sixfortheseason.com

Celebrate Labor Day weekend the best way: safely!

Driving after drinking or using drugs not only hurts you, but everyone around you (and can cost you a ton of $$$). This also applies to being on the water, boating while impaired is never a good choice to make!

If you plan to drink or use any impairing substance, make sure you have a plan in place beforehand.
📍 Have a 100% sober driver lined up ahead of time.
📍 Call a friend or family member (who is 100% sober)
📍 Stay the night where you are (if at a friend/family member's home)
📍 Utilize rideshare (which can be found here in Tangi!)

Be safe this weekend, and remember to always be sober behind the wheel!
