Hampstead is part of Rockingham County. Ever wonder what the County Commissioner does? In NH, the county structure is used mostly for Corrections (the county jail in Brentwood), the Sheriff’s Office, the county Attorney and Court (also in Brentwood) the Register of Deeds for property transactions, and the county nursing home, assisted living and rehab facility, also in Brentwood. There is also a county treasurer and a Register of Probate.

On the Hampstead ballot the Commissioner, Sheriff, and Register of Deeds have only one candidate.

For County Attorney, the incumbent Pat Conway is challenged by Robert Wilson.

For County Treasurer, Kevin Coyle vs. Scott Priestley.

For Register of Probate, Douglas Marino vs Jon Stark.

Take a moment to check out their campaign sites so you can make an informed decision on Nov. 3rd.

“Rockingham County, NH (herein named “County”) provides the www.rockinghamcountynh.org and www.co.rockingham.nh.us website as a service to the public. The County is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability for, damages of any kind arising out of use, reference to, or reliance...
