A HUGE Bulldog thank-you to our friends at the Andrew Williams Sr. Foundation for their generous donation of brand-new coats and warm shirts! And another HUGE thank you to our Cornerstone Worship Center Internationalhamptonva family for selecting us as recipients and delivering them!

Thanks to their kindness, more of our Bulldogs will be ready to bundle up as the temperatures drop! 🥰

Our first Fresh Produce Market of the school year was a success!

A BIG Bulldog thank-you to our friends at Virginia Peninsula Foodbank and Food Lion Feeds for helping us provide families with fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies! 💚

And a special shoutout to our AMAZING volunteers for keeping everything running smoothly, quickly, and safely!

Ms.Wheeler’s students explored all things apples through hands-on learning activities! 🍏 They read The Sour Apple, practiced math and counting with apples, learned about the life cycle and parts of an apple, and made “apple pie” at the sensory table. 🥧

Students also discovered how apples can be used to make applesauce and apple juice! 🧃 They taste-tested different colored apples, rated our favorites, and sampled applesauce and apple juice. We love making learning fun through exploration, sensory experiences, and hands-on activities! 🍎

🐾 Burbank Bulldogs Make Us Proud! 💛❤️

👏 Please join us in celebrating fourth graders Kylie and Douglas Carter! They were selected to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and deliver the opening at the October 7, 2026, School Board meeting. They shared “I Am Somebody,” written by Daniel M. Buggs and edited by LaTonya Harris.

Kylie enjoys basketball, swimming, and art, with reading and writing among her favorite subjects. Douglas enjoys basketball and soccer, and math is his favorite subject. 🏀🎨⚽

Their mother, Burbank AP Mrs.Carter, and Burbank Principal Rasán Holmes joined them for this special occasion.

Ms. Wheeler’s students had a wonderful time exploring our sensory garden! 🌱 From discovering watermelons and beans growing in the garden to digging in the dirt and creating colorful chalk drawings, our students enjoyed learning through hands-on exploration and play! They also got to see the jets from LAFB practicing in the sky!✈️

Experiences like these give our students opportunities to engage their senses, experiences, explore nature, build curiosity, and learn through play. 💚

There’s nothing better than discovering something new while having fun outdoors! ☀️🌻
