George P. Phenix PTSA The George P. Phenix PreK-8 grade school's PTSA. They say $5 doesn’t go far but we tend to disagree. For $5, you can join the Phenix Panthers PTSA!!!!

Why should I join the PTSA? Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, the children are more likely to:

*earn better grades.
*score higher on tests.
*pass their classes.
*attend school regularly.
*have better social skills.
*show improved behavior.
*be more positive in their attitude toward school.
*complete homework assignments.
*graduate and continue their education. Parents are so important to our schools success, and the PTSA is a key way that parents can support our school. Now, by “support,” we are not just talking about fundraising. Yes, we raise money for several different causes during the year, But we also organize great family events in and out of the school throughout the school year. Volunteering is an awesome way to support even if it’s for a short time or for limited events. Benefits of joining the Phenix PTSA

· * Be in the know. - Creates an environment where parents are connected with the Phenix Panthers community

*Nice to meet you. PTSA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building relationships and talking to one another. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences.

*Share your expertise. By volunteering with your PTSA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a great cause, not only your child but the student body community can benefit.

*Be a Role Model. By becoming a PTSA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.

*Making an impact. By getting involved in the Phenix PTSA you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. What are the goals of the PTSA at Phenix K-8?

-Boost Children’s Well-Being. We focus on what students need to be successful in their learning, including nutrition, health, school safety, physical fitness and general well-being. We work with the school to ensure that children succeed.

-Support school staff members with our grant programs and staff appreciation efforts.

-To have 100% participation from our parents. Parental involvement is crucial to building this culture. Kids need to know they're not making their life journey alone.

‼️‼️OUR ANNUAL COOKIE & POPCORN FUNDRAISER IS HERE‼️‼️

It’s that time of year again! Each year, George P. Phenix PTSA holds our fall Cookie & Popcorn Fundraiser as one of our planned fundraising efforts to help support the activities and experiences we provide throughout the school year. This is a fundraiser our PTSA looks forward to bringing back each year, and packets should be coming home with students TODAY!

Funds raised will help our PTSA support activities for our students and families, including Movie Night, Teacher Spirit Days, Game Night, and most importantly, helping cover the additional costs of our 10th Annual Fall Fest!

We know there are other fundraisers happening throughout the building, and we completely understand that every family cannot and may not choose to participate in every fundraiser. There is absolutely no pressure. We truly appreciate every family who is able to participate, purchase, share, or support in any way.

Our PTSA is a 100% volunteer organization, and the funds we raise go right back into supporting our students, teachers, staff, and school community through events, activities, appreciation efforts, and other opportunities throughout the year.

Packets & money are due: October 14
Pickup: Early November — exact date coming soon
