UPDATE
All utility work at the previously mentioned scene is complete and Cty. Rte. 18 has been reopened for all traffic!

A car accident on Cty. Rte 18 has caused extensive damage to the powerlines feeding Hampton. According to a National Grid worker on scene his estimate is to have the power restored around 10:00 this morning however it could take longer.

Cty. Rte 18 is closed for thru traffic at the Hillspond/hickey rd intersection until the situation is resolved.

At 7:02 Pm July 17th Hampton Fire, Skenesborough EMS, and NYSP were dispatched to a possible E-bike accident at the intersection of County Route 11 and Manchester Road in low Hampton.

Upon arrival to the scene we identified an E-Bike with a broken chain and lite damage. There was an abandoned helmet with activated lights also at the scene. A thorough search was conducted of the area and no driver was found.

*UPDATE*
The bike is with its rightful owner and no one was injured, just a breakdown.
