💬 Did you know? Hampton Fire offers FREE smoke alarms! 🚒🔥

October is Fire Prevention Month, and a working smoke alarm is one of the easiest ways to protect your family in the event of a fire. Make sure your smoke alarms are working properly. Test your alarms once a month, replace batteries when needed, and replace smoke alarms that are more than 10 years old.

Through Hampton Fire & Rescue’s free smoke alarm program, firefighters will furnish and install smoke alarms—or replace batteries if needed—for any Hampton homeowner living in their residence.

The Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue thanks EVERYONE who participated in the recent Spread the Love Challenge!

Together, as a City, we did more than just collect a mountain of jars…we delivered one of the most powerful nutritional tools a family can have: the humble peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Every day, through our Mobile Integrated Health program and normal calls for service, our crews see the compounding effect food scarcity and poor nutrition can have on chronic health conditions.

Knowing the impact good nutrition has on overall health, our team rallied around the cause and contributed 775 jars to the City’s overall collection.

Whether you donated one jar or dozens, please join us in celebrating the impact we are making across the City of Hampton.
