This is Melanie.
She’s been with Oak House for 10 years. She has been serving as Assistant Director for about 7 years. Recently she has taken on the challenge of filling some pretty big shoes. We know she’s going to do great!

Please help us congratulate the new Director of Oak House. 👏

Last years Giving Tuesday we were able to pay for roof repairs. Thank you supporters and Copper Shores.
This year, we are needing assistance in getting a new van with all AWD. Our current van isn’t reliable during winter months. The van we need for our facility is pricey but it’s a necessity due to the hill OAK House is located on.
There are a lot of great non profits on the list this year…you can’t go wrong with any of the organizations. Once the donations open, we will share the post.

If you have any questions about Giving Tuesday feel free to call our office or send a message.

Thank you all again!

Welcome to the Oak House Store.

Here is a preview of our in-home store. Majority of our store is stocked by donated cans that we get from our community.

The residents and our staff have been working hard on returning the recent load of cans that we received; So we could upgrade our store.

We were looking for an additional way to practice money management, shopping, and budgeting. Typically we take them in the community to do their shopping but we found this to be a great form of money enrichment.

We are very thankful for each donation. Because of these donations we are able to provide a learning environment for our group. The residents earn Oak House dollars by completing their daily tasks, giving a helping hand, and drinking water (few examples) . At the end of the week they go shopping with the money that they have earned. The store allows us the opportunity to give our residents a “real life” 1 on 1 learning experience with fewer distractions.

Please feel free to message us if you have cans that you’d like to donate. We can arrange pick up.

We are also willing to take other donations such as room decor, clothing, arts and crafts, and personal hygiene items.

Thank you to all of our supporters. You’re helping us make a difference.

Hello Friends and family!

We are in the process of upgrading our ”Oak House Store”.

We are very fortunate for the amount of support we receive throughout our community.

We use the in-home store as a learning program for our residents to practice skills in order to shop on their own some day. We teach budgeting, money handling, adding items together to get a total, and self check out.

We Typically stock the store with the money we get from donated cans. Items from snacks to clothes, seasonal items, room decor and arts/crafts. If you have things lying around your home that you don’t have use for or items you may want to part with; We ask that you consider donating to Oak House.

If you’d like to know more or have any questions please feel free to reach out. Thank you again for all the support you’ve shown. We are a blessed home!
