On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced unimaginable loss, but in the midst of tragedy, we also witnessed extraordinary courage, compassion, and sacrifice.

Today, we remember the innocent lives taken too soon and honor the bystanders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and countless others who ran toward danger to help strangers, many making the ultimate sacrifice. We also remember those who worked tirelessly in the days, months, and years that followed, carrying the physical and emotional burdens of that day.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who have answered the call to serve and sacrifice in defense of our nation. To those serving today, our veterans, and the families who stand beside them: Thank You for your commitment and for helping protect the freedoms and security we hold dear.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the unity that brought Americans together.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — Never Forgotten. 🇺🇸

This morning’s September 11 remembrance event included a ceremonial raising of the American flag by the Hanford Police Department Honor Guard.

The flag raising was followed by heartfelt remarks from Pastor Thomas King and Hanford Mayor Mark Kairis.

We will never forget.
