FallFest is Sept 25 — plan your parking now!

FallFest returns to Storrs Pond on Friday, September 25, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Before the fun details, a heads-up on getting there:
Parking and shuttles
Storrs Pond has limited on-site parking, and it fills quickly. Additional parking is available at Ray School, with shuttles running every 15 minutes from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
What’s happening
This year’s FallFest includes a petting zoo with 9 animals, c***r pressing, a hay bale hunt, and an Activity Fair where Town of Hanover departments and local organizations run fall crafts and games for kids. LBSpinnerZ ArtZ performs a 60-minute bubble show at 4:45 PM. Food trucks (Playa Bowls, Hot Dogz, Cotton Candy Kids) will be on site — bring cash.
FallFest runs alongside the Hanover Police Department’s Touch a Truck, held for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in partnership with the DHMC Blood Donor Program. Expect a fire truck, police cruiser, and other vehicles to climb into.
Kids can pick up a Fallfest Passport at the welcome station and collect a stamp at each stop for a raffle entry.
Admission is free. See you at Storrs Pond.

That’s a wrap on Picnic in the Park!
Six Wednesdays of performers, crowds of 70-100 each week. Performers who knew exactly how to hold kids’ attention, and more happy energy than we could fit in one photo.
Thank you to the series Co-Sponsors; Howe Library , the The Etna Library Library, and the The Hop at Dartmouth — this series works because we built it together. And thank you to every family who came out for some fresh air, entertainment and community!
One last favor: we’d love to hear your thoughts on the series. Our survey takes about a minute, and your answers shape next summer’s lineup, locations, and timing. Link is here https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sv/YgooKay/PiP

Does your teenager have two free afternoons a week?

HPR is hiring ages 16+ as counselors for KAST, our after-school program for elementary school kids.
Starting pay is $16-19/hour, 2:30-5:30/5:45 and Wednesday is 1:30-5:30, min. two days a week. We build the schedule around sports, rehearsal, and homework.

What they'll actually do: run games, help with projects, get kids outside, serve snack, and play.
What they'll get: real childcare experience that means something on a college application, a first reference from a municipal employer, and the specific confidence that comes from being the person elementary school students listen to.

No experience required. If they're good with kids, we'll teach them the rest.
