Next week is going to be a busy one here at the Harbor Beach Area District Library and Harbor Beach Community Theatre!

Tuesday, October 6 at 6 p.m. we will be welcoming Michigan Author Tobin T. Buhk in the Community House Common Room. You will not want to miss his presentation especially if you like the dark side of Michigan's history! Tobin will also have some of his books available for purchase at the presentation

This presentation is free and open to the public, no reservations are necessary. We hope to see you there!

Friday, October 9 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, October 10 at 2 p.m. experience the powerful one-act play Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret, written by former Green Beret Lieutenant Colonel Scott Mann.

Performed largely by combat veterans and military family members, this moving production offers an intimate look at the unseen costs of modern war — the mental and emotional struggles that can follow service, the impact on families, and the bonds that endure long after the battlefield.

Last Out is more than a story about war. It is a story about sacrifice, resilience, family, and the difficult journey home. Join us for this deeply personal and thought-provoking theatrical experience.

We are roughly a month out from welcome Task Force Pineapple to the Harbor Beach Community Theatre for their production - Last Out Elegy of a Green Beret. Through the bonds of brotherhood, sacrifice, and service, Last Out takes audiences beyond the battlefield and explores the lasting impact of war and the challenges of coming home.

Performances will be:
