Good morning Harlan county. As week two of cleanup begins across the county, we wanted to give all of you an update on the cleanup process. Crews will start with removal of the debris at the curbside of homes today. Many of you have placed mud and destroyed household items at the curb, and we encourage everyone in the ages area affected that has not done this yet to get those items to the side of the street to allow our crews to come thru and remove that for you. Also, if you still have a need on your private property and need assistance, please contact the County Judge Executives office at 573-2600 to be placed in our help list database. Many have already called in and are on the list, and we are working to connect those people with organizations that can help. But we want to be sure we capture everyone that needs help, so if you haven’t already called, please do so today. Again, that number is 573-2600.

A distribution site will be available again today at the Ages park shelter for those people affected by the recent floods. Site will open at 1:00 pm today. Cleanup continues in affected areas across the county, so please be cautious if you are out traveling and avoid the areas to allow work crews and volunteers to continue to do the amazing work they have been all week.
