Open House 2026

Last weekend station 89 hosted our annual fire prevention open house. For the second year, we have partnered with the Harleysville Market to share the day together.

Despite the rainy day, we had a great turn out. We welcomed many of our local community members into the firehouse for fun handouts and fire prevention activities. Thank you to all who came out in the rainy weather and supported the firehouse. A little rain didn’t stop the fun. Thank you to all our mutual aid partners and Harleysville Market for your continued support and involvement with the event.

Neighboring emergency agencies across the 147th Legislative District joined in this anniversary event. A beautiful tribute was put together by many organizations in our local area. Thank you to Lower Frederick Fire company for your assisting in the flag arch. Another special thank you to Rep. Schueren for allowing us to have the honor to participate in this event.

Tuesday night, the company hosted our annual tanker task force drill.

This year, a total of 9 tankers and 6 engines were used to complete the drill. Two separate fill sites were used, one being a hydrant and another being a draft from the branch creek.

Crews started with a nursing operation utilizing a Y valve and continued to build out the dump location with a total of three porta ponds. The task force was able to continuously supply the attack engine for over a hour averaging 1,500 GPM. A total around 100,000 gallons of water was flowed.

Thank you to all the companies who attended.
