🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless families whose lives were changed forever.

We remember the firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, police officers, and other first responders who ran toward danger.

As members of the emergency services community, we carry a deep respect for the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness displayed that day. Their actions remind us why we answer the call to serve our neighbors, protect our communities, and be there when people need us most.

We remember the fallen.
We honor the heroes.
We stand with the families.
We will never forget.

We are incredibly excited and grateful to officially become part of the MDC!

This is a tremendous opportunity for Harmony Ambulance Service and our providers. Being able to learn alongside EMS professionals, instructors, and medical directors from across Southeastern Minnesota will allow us to broaden our knowledge, strengthen our clinical skills, and continue challenging ourselves to provide the highest level of care possible to the patients we serve.

We are especially excited about the opportunity for scenario-based training and the ability to learn from the experiences and challenges of other services. In EMS, there is always more to learn, and sharing knowledge and experiences with other providers is one of the best ways we can continue to grow.

We are thankful to the MDC for welcoming Harmony Ambulance and look forward to being an active part of this incredible group. We’re excited to bring what we learn back to our service, and continue raising the bar for the care we provide to our community.

Stronger providers. Stronger service. Stronger communities. 🚑💙

Thank you for welcoming Harmony Ambulance to the MDC! We’re excited for what’s ahead!

SEPTEMBER 09, 2026- HARMONY, MN

Last night, we welcomed Harmony Ambulance Service to the Medical Direction Consortium (MDC).

Since 1994, the MDC strengthens EMS across Southeastern Minnesota by bringing medical directors, EMS leaders, instructors, and providers together to promote consistent, high-quality patient care throughout the region.

A key component of the NEW MDC is scenario-based training. Working through realistic patient-care scenarios allows providers to practice decision-making, communication, clinical skills, and teamwork in an environment that reflects the challenges they may encounter in the field. These opportunities also create a space to discuss, and debrief, why we do what we do not simply what the guidelines say.

Just as important is the opportunity to learn from one another. Our MDC Instructors bring different experiences, challenges, resources, and perspectives from their individual communities and services. When those experiences are shared, the entire region benefits. A lesson learned on one ambulance, in one emergency department, or at one rural service can help another provider or agency improve the care they provide.

The MDC is about more than medical direction it is about collaboration, education, shared experience, and building stronger EMS systems together. By bringing the knowledge and experiences of providers across the region back to their own services, we create a continuous cycle of learning that ultimately benefits our providers, our agencies, and most importantly, our patients and communities.

We are so appreciative and thankful for all our volunteers do every single day, making sure that our ambulance is in service and ready to respond to an emergency 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

What a great turn out we had last night for National Night Out. So glad the rain decided to hold off. Thank you to everyone that came out and made it a good time. A very big thank you to all of the Harmony Fire Department and Harmony Ambulance Service volunteers that helped make this such a success.

Shout out to Luke Haugerud for his DJ and karaoke services, and to Fillmore County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and Harmony Transit for coming out.

We can't wait to do it again next year!

We had a very good informative meeting tonight with other rural ambulance services and the challenges we all face. It's so good to see the group collaboration and push for a positive change for the better in all of EMS, no matter the location.

JULY 29, 2026- ROCHESTER, MN

Strong ambulance services are built through collaboration, not competition. When ambulance directors work together, share resources, exchange ideas, and support one another, they strengthen not only their own organizations but the entire EMS system. No single service has all the answers where staffing, funding, and increasing call volumes continue to challenge providers and their services.

Breaking down "silos" creates opportunities to share best practices, training, equipment, and operational experience that ultimately improves patient care. By building relationships and working as regional partners, ambulance directors can advocate together, develop innovative solutions to common challenges, and ensure that every community benefits from a more resilient and sustainable EMS system.

Together, we accomplish far more than any one service can achieve alone; as a collective voice and collaborative region.

A special thank you to the Minnesota Ambulance Association and Andy Teska from Winona Area Ambulance Service for tonight's presentations.
