🚒🔥 FIRE PREVENTION WEEK! 🔥🚒

Today, members of Blue Ridge Mountain Volunteer Fire Company had the pleasure of visiting Blue Ridge Elementary School to teach students about fire prevention and safety! ❤️

Our firefighters enjoyed spending time with the students, sharing important fire safety tips, and showing them some of the equipment we use to help keep our community safe! 🚒🧑‍🚒

Educating our youngest community members about fire safety is something we take great pride in. You never know, we may have inspired a few future firefighters along the way! ❤️

A huge thank you to Blue Ridge Elementary for welcoming us! We had a wonderful time!

🚒 Night Ops Extrication Training 🚒

Last night, our members participated in nighttime vehicle extrication training, and it was a success!

Training in low-light conditions gives our firefighters the opportunity to sharpen their skills, work together as a team, and prepare for the challenges they may face during real-life emergencies.

🚨 Training doesn’t stop when the tones drop! Responding to emergency calls while training is underway is a reminder of how quickly our members must transition from practicing their skills to putting them to use when our community needs us.

We’re proud of the dedication our members continue to show, volunteering their time to train, improve, and stay ready for whatever comes their way.

🔥 REMINDER: WV BURNING LAW BEGINS OCTOBER 1ST! 🔥

As we head into fall, please remember that West Virginia’s seasonal burning restrictions go into effect October 1 through December 31.

🍂 Burning is permitted ONLY between 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

A few important reminders:
🔥 No burning between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
🔥 Fires must be attended at all times
🔥 Clear the area around your fire down to mineral soil for at least 10 feet
🔥 If your fire escapes, you may be responsible for firefighting costs and any damage caused
🔥 Violations can result in fines of up to $1,000

Please burn responsibly and help keep our community, homes, and first responders safe this fall! 🚒❤️

🎅🚒 BREAKFAST WITH SANTA AT COMPANY 5! 🎄❤️

We know it’s early, but Christmas will be here before you know it, so mark those calendars and plan to be there now! 🎄✨

Join us Saturday, December 19th for a fun-filled Christmas day with Company 5!

🍳 Donation Breakfast with Santa
⏰ 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 181 Keyes Gap Road, Harpers Ferry, WV

🎅 Come have breakfast, visit Santa, and get your Christmas pictures taken by Six Hearts Studio 📸 Photos will be donation-based, with 20% of all photo donations going directly back to the fire station! ❤️🚒

Then come back out for the Christmas Parade around 4:00 PM, beginning at the end of Mission Road! 🎄🚒🎅

Save the date, bring the family, and come make some Christmas memories while supporting Company 5! ❤️

Saturday, December 19th — we’ll see you there! 🎄✨
