🚨 OKLAHOMA COUNTY BURN BAN EXTENDED 🚨

Yesterday the Oklahoma County Board of County Commissioners has extended the Burn Ban for Oklahoma County for an additional 14 days.

Effective immediately, outdoor burning is prohibited throughout Oklahoma County for the duration of the burn ban. This restriction is in place due to current fire conditions and the increased potential for fires to rapidly spread and threaten lives, property, and natural resources.

The Harrah Fire Department strongly urges all residents to comply with the Burn Ban and refrain from any outdoor burning until the ban has been lifted.

Please do not burn:
• Brush or vegetation
• Trash or debris
• Leaves or grass
• Burn barrels
• Brush piles
• Any other materials outdoors

Violations of the Burn Ban may result in legal penalties and fines.

Your cooperation is essential in helping our firefighters prevent avoidable fires and protect our community.

PLEASE DO NOT BURN.

🚨 BURN BAN EXTENDED 🚨

The Harrah Fire Department would like to notify residents that the current Burn Ban has been extended for an additional 14 days.

Due to continued dry conditions and elevated fire danger, residents are urged to exercise extreme caution and refrain from all outdoor burning until the Burn Ban has been lifted.

Please do not burn brush, leaves, trash, debris, or conduct any type of open burning during this period.

Wildfires can develop quickly under these conditions and can place homes, property, firefighters, and our community at significant risk.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we work together to reduce the risk of wildfires and keep our community safe.

It has finally arrived!

Your Harrah Fire Department is proud to announce the arrival of our newest apparatus, Light Rescue 323.

Earlier this week, four members of the Harrah Fire Department traveled to Skeeter Brush Trucks in Hillsboro, Texas, to complete the final inspection and bring the new unit home.

Light Rescue 323 will serve as the first-out unit for medical calls, rescue calls, and other miscellaneous incidents responding from Station 2. This new apparatus will replace an aging unit that has faithfully served the City of Harrah and its citizens for many years.

The addition of Light Rescue 323 will provide your firefighters with a modern, reliable apparatus and improved capabilities to better serve our community when they are needed most.

While you may not see the new unit responding around town just yet, there is still work to be completed. Your firefighters will be mounting equipment, making final preparations, and completing training to ensure the apparatus and its equipment are ready for service.

We are excited to bring Light Rescue 323 home and look forward to putting it to work serving the citizens of Harrah.

The Harrah Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the City of Harrah for its continued support of our department and its commitment to providing our firefighters with the tools and resources necessary to protect our community.

Welcome home, Light Rescue 323!

🚨🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT — OKLAHOMA COUNTY 🔥🚨

The Oklahoma County Board of County Commissioners has issued a 14-day burn ban for Oklahoma County, effective immediately.

With the current hot, dry, and windy conditions, the potential for a small fire to quickly become a large wildfire is extremely high. We have already seen how rapidly fires can spread under these conditions, and it only takes one spark to put homes, property, and lives at risk.

🚫 Please do NOT conduct any outdoor burning while the burn ban is in effect.

That includes:🔥 Brush and debris burning🔥 Trash burning🔥 Burn piles🔥 Campfires/bonfires where prohibited🔥 Any other open burning that is restricted under the burn ban

We know nobody wants to hear “burn ban” during the summer, but we’d much rather prevent a wildfire than have to respond to one that could have been avoided.

Please help us protect our community, our firefighters, and your neighbors.

Your Harrah Fire Department is asking for your help. With the heat wave lasting for as long as it has, and for the foreseeable future, we are asking for water donations. With how dry we have been, we are seeing an increase in brush fires as well as the behavior that these fire exhibit. Your firefighters depend on any donations that we receive to help rehydrate ourselves while on large incidents especially in the heat.

If you have any donations, you can drop them off at Harrah Fire Station 2 located at 18460 NE 23rd St. Harrah, OK. 73045. You can also donate by going by Harps and letting them know that you would like to donate to your Harrah Fire Department. For further information, give us a call at (405) 454-2111 and speak to the on-duty crews and they will be able to help.
