I’ll always be a champion for our next generation of students to make sure they have access to an adequate education. This is about ensuring these students grow up and land jobs in their home state of PA.

I had a great time visiting with students from the Capital Area School for the Arts Charter High School who visited the Capitol last week! We discussed how legislators conduct business on the floor with their colleagues.

I’m so grateful that these students are interested in learning about how their government works!

Salt is permanently changing the chemistry of our freshwater streams. We must reduce the amount of salt used on our roads during winter weather. I'm confident the legislature can work with PennDOT to keep our roads safe for winter driving without putting the environment and wildlife at such a risk.

The Dauphin County Farm Bureau is hosting Meet the Farmer this Friday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come out to meet a local farmer and see a calf up close! This is a great opportunity to learn more about Pennsylvania's agriculture and ask questions!

Thanks to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. in Harrisburg for putting on another amazing community health event at the Scottish Rite Cathedral!

There were vendors on hand to help educate on several health conditions from cancer, sickle cell disease, Alzheimer’s, and much more.

We’re so grateful for all the AKAs do in our community!

I joined my fellow members of the House Environmental Committee for a tour of Capital Region Water's Advanced Water Treatment Facility.

They currently process more than 21 million gallons of sanitary sewer waste per year and repurpose some of the water into fertilizers for crops that humans don’t consume. Learning more about these efforts reinforces the importance of investing in sustainable infrastructure and protecting Pennsylvania’s natural resources for future generations.

It was great to catch up with former Governor Mark Schweiker and other advocates for accessible, affordable childcare at the Early Learning Investment Council’s Childcare Summit!

One of the major takeaways was an approach that Missouri is taking with a dedicated trust fund to make childcare more affordable for families. I look forward to continuing these conversations and working toward solutions that make quality childcare more accessible and affordable for Pennsylvania families.

No registration is required, but please let us know if you are bringing very large items by contacting my office.

Some additional important details to keep in mind:

I hope to see you there!

This month, the Capitol Fountain is pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mammograms are the easiest and most effective way to catch breast cancer early and stop it before it spreads to other parts of the body. By raising awareness and promoting regular mammograms, we can save lives.

I also joined my fellow House colleagues in pink for our annual Floor photo. It was a meaningful opportunity to stand together in support of those who have been affected by breast cancer and to help remind Pennsylvanians of the importance of early detection.

Your health is worth making time for. If you haven’t done so already, please talk with your doctor about when you should schedule a screening mammogram. And if you notice any unusual changes, don’t wait; reach out to a healthcare professional.

I had a great time at Lower Paxton Township's annual Fall Festival at George Park last weekend! They had all sorts of fall-themed activities for families, including hayrides, pumpkins, yard games, and more.

It was wonderful seeing so many members of the community come out to enjoy the festivities and celebrate the fall season together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Fall Festival such a fun event!
