1 in 8 women will face breast cancer during their lives, but getting an early diagnosis could be literally lifesaving.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so there’s no better time than now to get your screening and talk to your friends and family about getting theirs as well.

House Democratic Leaderships statement issued Wednesday night concerning Rep. Bernstine’s behavior.

“These reports of a member spewing hateful, vile language about another member are shocking, offensive and deeply disappointing. He should be ashamed of himself and apologize for his embarrassing and hateful behavior.

“While we know our friend is strong, focused and determined in his work, no one deserves to be spoken about like that and we will always stand up to bullies.

“We hope Rep. Bernstine looks at his words and actions—as well as his previous numerous reprehensible behaviors—and expeditiously does the right thing for his constituents, his caucus and the chamber.

“We’re taking this seriously and exploring potential next steps, and we look forward to hearing what repercussions Republican House leadership will impose for his abhorrent behavior.

“We stand with the Equality Caucus and Black Caucus' call for him to resign, just like House Republican leaders called on him to resign in the past. “

Allegations that Rep. Aaron Bernstine called Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta a slur during a Tuesday altercation at a Harrisburg bar are false, he said.

AI is reshaping every aspect of our society at a rapid pace, which means our protections against misuse need to keep up. Rep. Arvind Venkat and Rep. Melissa Shusterman are keeping our kids safe and our mental and physical health in the hands of humans, not AI.

Rep. Darisha Parker is beyond excited to have brought the funding to Germantown that would allow the renovation of the historic Happy Hollow Rec center. In a time where third spaces and community institutions are closing left and right, Pennsylvania House Democrats are fighting to save the places we grew up with and loved with the funding and support they’ll need.
