Tri County Community Action Since 1966 we've been helping people & changing lives throughout Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry Counties.

Tri County Community Action, (TCCA), part of America’s Poverty Fighting Network, has been helping people and changing lives throughout Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry Counties since 1966. As a private, nonprofit, social service agency, we create and connect resources for individuals and families to move from poverty and crisis situations to self-sufficiency

Everyday we are working to help our clients break the cycle of poverty - By teaching children to read, providing in-home case management, offering parenting and budgeting classes, helping a single mother find childcare and employment, addressing blight in our neighborhood or empowering fathers to strengthen relationships with their children. We take a comprehensive approach to individual, family, and neighborhood success. We work tirelessly to address the symptoms and causes of poverty in our area, and our programming – budgeting, work readiness, parenting, and financial literacy education, to enhanced supportive services, such as child development, case management, and even community revitalization – speak to our dedication to support families, strengthen communities and eliminate poverty throughout the Capital Region.

Our CEO, Jen Wintermyer, recently helped share the benefits of PA Navigate with local elected officials' staff. Read more here!

District office staff are often among the first people community members contact when they need help finding housing, food, utility assistance, or other local resources. CAAP recently had an opportunity to bring PA Navigate directly into that setting.

CAAP’s Kat Royer and Matthew Moser joined Jen Wintermyer, CEO of Tri County Community Action for an in-person session with legislative district office staff in Harrisburg. Together, they demonstrated how PA Navigate can help staff search for local programs and identify resources that are claimed, recently updated, and actively accepting referrals.

The conversation also explored how PA Navigate’s search data can offer insight into the needs people are bringing forward in their communities, while Tri County Community Action shared firsthand experience using the platform in its day-to-day work.

CAAP hopes this will be the beginning of more opportunities to bring PA Navigate and our member agencies into conversations with offices across Pennsylvania, helping strengthen the connections between community needs and the organizations ready to respond.

We couldn't maintain this beautiful green space without our many dedicated volunteers...thank you to everyone who has given their time and effort over the past several weeks to make this garden the welcoming space it is! 🌸 🌱🌼
