🔪TEEN FOODIE CLUB: CHOPPED EDITION
Wednesday, October 21
3:30 - 4:30 PM

You have been selected to compete on the Harrisburg Library’s new reality cooking show - Foodie Club: Chopped Edition! Each competitor will have 10 minutes to create a fun dish out of their mystery basket of ingredients. Your end goal is to impress the judge, Miss Kaitlyn with your creative foodie skills - if not, you will be Chopped! All supplies will be provided for this activity and there is no library card required to join in on the fun! This is a teens event only, please.

Are you ready to solve a case? Are you seeking some thrills? Or are you looking for a suspenseful story? Join us for Coffee & Crime, where each month will feature a different book or author. This book club is open to adults only, please. We’ll meet on a Tuesday evening (3rd or 4th Tuesday) monthly from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

For October, we’ll read "We Solve Murders" by Richard Osman and meet to discuss. You can request the book from another library!

Are you a friend or a foe of the library???

It's National Friends of the Library Week!! And we thought it would be fun to see who loves the library most!

Friends of the Library membership for 2027 has already begun. If you pay this week, you will be set for the 2027 year. And if you want to be a "foe" of the library, you only have to pay half price for the next year!

P.S. This is all in jest; we hope no one is really a foe of the library!

A new book club at Harrisburg District Library for 8-12 year olds: Graphic Novel Book Club! Hosted by Ms. Emily, we'll meet up for a different book each month! We'll chat about our book, have a snack, and wrap up with an activity or craft. We'll even pick the next book for our club meeting! In October, we will be discussing “Day of the Living Liv” by Liv Livingston . There will be copies at the circulation desk available for checkout. No library card is required to participate!
