Join the conversation on su***de prevention, mental health and access to community resources through these upcoming events!

Dauphin County is sharing opportunities for community members to come together, learn about su***de prevention and mental health, connect with available resources and help make a difference.

Through upcoming su***de prevention town hall meetings, community members can discuss mental health, substance use and the challenges affecting individuals and families in our area. These conversations provide an opportunity to identify community needs, discuss gaps in services and barriers to support and explore ways to create meaningful, lasting change.

The Third Annual ASPIRE Su***de Prevention Conference will also bring people together for a day of education, connection and hope. The conference will help attendees better understand su***de, recognize when someone may be struggling and learn ways to offer meaningful support. The conference is free to attend, and registration is encouraged.

We encourage residents to review the flyers below for event dates, locations and registration information. Whether you attend a town hall or the conference, your participation can help strengthen our community and support su***de prevention efforts throughout Dauphin County.

Last week, the Dauphin County Commissioners attended a press conference hosted by Governor Josh Shapiro, where the Governor, Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis and other state and local leaders announced a new plan to revitalize Downtown Harrisburg.

As Pennsylvania’s capital city and the heart of Dauphin County, Harrisburg’s revitalization is an investment in the residents, businesses and communities that make up our region. The plan represents $64 million in new public and private investments, including $22.7 million in new Commonwealth funding, to support local businesses, improve public spaces and transportation, enhance safety, expand housing opportunities and activate Harrisburg’s riverfront, arts and cultural offerings.

Dauphin County has been proud to be part of the collaborative effort alongside local leaders, businesses, nonprofits and community stakeholders to help develop a vision for Downtown Harrisburg’s future.

These investments will help create a downtown that is safer, more accessible and welcoming for residents, workers, businesses and visitors, strengthening Harrisburg and the broader Dauphin County community.
