One of our core values at Color & Culture (and companies, Latino Connection and PPO&S) is leveling the playing field so the communities we belong to, which are too often overlooked, can thrive. That’s why we’re proud of our CEO, George Fernandez, for his involvement in the Healthy Lungs study to help advance health equity.

The research examined smoking cessation interventions among Latinos and African Americans referred for lung cancer screening, communities that continue to face disparities in access and outcomes. George served as Co-Principal Investigator alongside the University of Pennsylvania and health systems across the country. Their work was recently published in JAMA (the Journal of the American Medical Association).

Congratulations to the entire Healthy Lungs research team!
