๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ A Day Full of Art and Discovery! ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ๐ŸŽจ

Ms. Angelowโ€™s class had a wonderful time exploring Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville!

Our students got hands-on with art by creating magnifying cameras with their hands to inspect paintings, playing I Spy to discover hidden details, and even playing a game of telephone with their tour guide to learn how stories can change over time. They asked lots of thoughtful questions and showed so much curiosity along the way! ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ

What a fun day of learning, exploring, and seeing art in a whole new way! We are so proud of our curious Goblins! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Young Historians, Thoughtful Writers!

Mrs. Mathisโ€™s fifth-grade Lion Language Arts students have been busy exploring the challenges our Founding Fathers faced while creating the U.S. Constitution!

After reading Who Wrote the U.S. Constitution?, students examined the problems facing our new nation and how delegates worked together to find solutions through cooperation and compromise.

Students then put their reading, critical thinking, and writing skills to work! Using graphic organizers, they collaborated to plan and develop informational essays, focusing on clear introductions, organized ideas, text evidence, and explanations connecting historical problems to their solutions. This was a BIG challenge, and our students rose to the occasion!

Along the way, students practiced revising their writing, strengthening their explanations, and supporting their ideas with evidence from the text.

โœ๏ธ We're proud of the hard work, perseverance, and growth these young scholars are demonstrating! ๐Ÿฆ
