The Harrison Police Department would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the Leadership Conference 2026 a valuable opportunity for area law enforcement leaders to come together, learn, and grow.

A special thank you goes to Chief Randall Dias of the University of Arkansas–North Arkansas Police Department for generously providing the JPH Conference Room at North Arkansas College as the venue for this important training. We are also grateful to the outstanding instructors who shared their knowledge, experience, and expertise:

Jeff Crow – ALERRT
Jeff provided valuable instruction on the lessons learned from the Uvalde school shooting, emphasizing the importance of preparedness, response, coordination, and continually learning from critical incidents.

John Wilkerson – Arkansas Municipal League
John covered important information involving the First and Fourth Amendments, giving law enforcement leaders an opportunity to better understand the legal principles that guide our interactions with the public.

CLEST Deputy Director Jason Lawrence
Thank you for sharing your experience and insight with the law enforcement community and helping our agencies continue to develop strong leadership.

Dr. Chris Clem – Leadership & High-Performing Teams
A special thank you to Dr. Clem for bringing a two-day leadership and high-performing teams training to our area. His instruction provided valuable tools and insight into building stronger leaders, stronger teams, and stronger organizations.

Training like this is an investment not only in our individual officers and supervisors, but in the communities we serve.
We are proud to have law enforcement agencies from across the area come together to learn from one another, share experiences, strengthen relationships, and grow as leaders.
Thank you to all the instructors, agencies, officers, and leaders who made Leadership Conference 2026 possible.
Together, we learn. Together, we lead. Together, we become better prepared to serve our communities.

STOP THE BLEED: PREPARATION CAN SAVE A LIFE

The Harrison Police Department’s School Resource Officers were recently invited to Harrison High School to teach a class of students an important, potentially life-saving skill. Stop the Bleed.

During the training, students were introduced to the C-A-T tourniquet and wound-packing gauze and were given the opportunity to practice applying these tools using pool noodles as training aids. The lesson was simple but important: an emergency can happen anywhere, at any time.
A serious injury can occur at home, at school, during an outdoor activity, or on the roadway in a motor vehicle crash. Our first responders work hard to arrive as quickly as possible, but those first few moments before help arrives can be critical.
Having a properly stocked bleeding-control kit nearby and knowing how to use it can give someone the ability to take immediate action while waiting for EMS.

🩸 HPD encourages our community to learn how to Stop the Bleed. Visit StopTheBleed.org to learn more about bleeding-control training and preparedness.

For those looking to purchase bleeding-control supplies, North American Rescue offers C-A-T tourniquets, wound-packing gauze, and complete bleeding-control kits.
Consider keeping a bleeding-control kit in your vehicle, home, or another easily accessible location. Knowing what to do and having the right equipment within reach could make a difference when every second counts.

A special thank-you to the students and staff at Harrison High School for taking the time to learn these important skills!
Learn it. Carry it. Be prepared.
You could be the help that arrives before help arrives.
