What a crazy morning for your Harrison Professional Firefighters!

Multiple water rescues had to be made as unexpected flash flooding quickly impacted our community. Our members answered the call and put their training and experience to work when it mattered most.

Below you will see Firefighter and Swiftwater Technician Chiarella utilizing his specialized training, working to safely assist those affected by the rapidly rising water.

This is exactly why training matters. When the unexpected happens, our firefighters are ready to respond.

We are proud of all of our members who stepped up this morning and represented the Harrison Professional Firefighters with professionalism, courage, and dedication to our community.

Your Harrison Professional Firefighters — ready when you need us. 🚒

We would like to extend our condolences to the family of retired member Vincent “Chip” Figliola….

“Vincent “Chip” Figliola, formerly of Harrison, NY, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 90.
Chip was born on July 18, 1935, to Salvatore and Anna Figliola. A proud veteran, he served in the United States Navy as a Seabee and was honorably discharged in 1965. He later dedicated many years of service as a professional firefighter for the Town of Harrison, a role that reflected his deep sense of duty, courage, and commitment to his community.”
