🚑 A SHOUT-OUT TO ONE OF TONIGHT’S DUTY CREWS🚑

I want to give a special shout-out to Matt C. and Mike F. tonight. Now I know neither of them would want recognition, however there going to get it anyway!

The crew was dispatched to an unknown issue at a local residence here in our community. After some time with no radio traffic or communication, I decided to drive by and make sure everything was okay.

When I arrived, I found both crew members sitting on the front porch in rocking chairs, having a conversation with the patient.

I asked, “Everything okay?”

Their response?

“Yeah, we’re helping this gentleman set up his iPhone.”

This is exactly what community EMS is supposed to be about. Sometimes it isn't about rushing in, treating a medical emergency, and rushing back out. Sometimes it's about taking a few extra minutes to sit down, listen, talk, and help someone with something as simple as setting up their phone.

Matt C. and Mike F. — way to lead from the front and put our citizens first. 👏

That kind of compassion and willingness to go the extra mile is what makes a difference in the communities we serve.

🚑 Ritchie County Ambulance Authority would like to congratulate Brad on successfully passing his National Registry AEMT examination! 🎉
Brad serves the citizens of our community in a full-time capacity, and his dedication to continuing his education and advancing his career in EMS is something to be proud of.

This is just another step in his journey. Next stop: his West Virginia State Advanced EMT examination, and then, in just a few short months, PARAMEDIC! 💪🚑
We are proud to have you on our team, Brad. Keep pushing forward, keep learning, and keep serving your community!
Well done, sir! 👏🇺🇸

It's national police week, so let's give it up for the guys with the handcuffs and bad coffee that keep our county safe. Big thanks to our daily heroes the Ritchie county sheriff’s Dept, and the WVSP for keeping the good fight going. We're rooting for you, we back the blue daily. But honestly, who's the genius who scheduled Police Week before EMS Week, don’t we save you all daily?
