Have you reviewed your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) yet?

If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan or Part D prescription drug plan, your ANOC outlines changes that may affect your coverage in 2027.

When reviewing your ANOC, pay close attention to:
• Costs, including premiums, deductibles, copays, and out-of-pocket limits
• Provider networks, including doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies
• Prescription drug coverage, including covered medications and drug costs

Reviewing these changes during Medicare Open Enrollment can help you decide whether your current plan still meets your needs.

Reviewing your Medicare coverage during Open Enrollment? Don't forget to review your costs, too.

Many people with Medicare are paying more than they need to because they don't realize help may be available.

Programs such as Medicare Savings Programs and Extra Help can assist with Medicare premiums, deductibles, copays, and prescription drug costs.

Even if you've checked before, it's worth looking again. Some income and assets may not count toward eligibility, and many people qualify when they didn't expect to.

You can also use NCOA's BenefitsCheckUp to see whether you may qualify for programs that help with healthcare, prescriptions, food, utilities, and other everyday expenses.

During Open Enrollment, a quick eligibility check could potentially save hundreds or even thousands of dollars each year.

Before assuming you won't qualify, contact your local SHIP for free, unbiased help understanding programs that may lower your Medicare costs.
