September 15th - October 15 is HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH. We joined State Representative Geraldo Reyes at his favorite restaurant in the 75th district: La Borinqueña.

The restaurant has been closed since a tragic fire in the south end earlier this summer, but Pedro Ocasio and his family have been hard at work and now, with the support of the community, the new location is busier than ever.

25 years ago today, our nation suffered a horrific, tragic loss and the world was forever changed. Today we remember and grieve the lives and the dreams that were taken from this world forever.

We remember the incredible acts of bravery that were done today, including those that were done in the final moments of some of the victim’s lives. Today we remember that our lives are short and precious. But we continue to live and push to make our world a better place for all the lives that were taken from this world. Because their lives held meaning and they will continue to hold meaning forever. We will never forget. ❤️
